Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at 256-801-2463 or johnsonkristen627@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A: A mobile notary is a commissioned official who travels to your location to execute notarizations. We can meet you anywhere that is convenient and safe, including your home, office, a local coffee shop, a hospital room, or a correctional facility.

A:  You can book an appointment by clicking the call or text button on our website, by calling 256-801-2463, or by filling out the contact us form. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance, but we always accommodate same-day requests when available.

A: All signers must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms of identification include a state driver’s license, state ID card, US passport, or military ID. The name on the ID must match the name on the document.

A:  No. A notary cannot notarize a document that contains blank spaces or missing pages. Please ensure your document is completely filled out before our appointment. However, do not sign or date the document, as you must do this in front of the notary.

A:   If a signer lacks a valid ID, some states allow the use of "credible witnesses." A credible witness must personally know the signer, possess a valid ID of their own, and swear under oath that the signer is who they claim to be. Please notify us in advance if you need to use this option.

A: No. Notaries are not attorneys and are strictly prohibited by law from giving legal advice, explaining legal documents, or assisting you in filling them out. If you have questions about your paperwork, please consult a qualified attorney before our appointment.

A:  Our total fee consists of two parts: the state-regulated notary fee per signature, and our mobile travel fee. [$10.00 per notarized signature]. Contact us for a precise quote based on your location and document type.

A:  If we arrive at the appointment and the signing cannot proceed—due to a missing ID, an incomplete document, or a signer who is unavailable or lacks mental capacity—the mobile travel fee is still due. This fee covers our time and vehicle mileage.

A:  We notarize a wide variety of documents, including Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, Healthcare Proxies, Affidavits, Oaths, Bill of Sale forms, and parental consent forms for minor travel.

A:  For your convenience, we accept Cash, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and corporate checks. Payment is due at the time of service.

A: We provide mobile notary services throughout Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia, Sheffield, and the surrounding areas.
